Park Hours:
Minooka Park is open year round from sunrise to 10 p.m.

Beach Hours:
Minooka Park Beach is open June through August.
Weekdays the beach is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Weekends and holidays the beach is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Minooka Park has miles of trails and lush acreage of aged hardwood forest where many people escape the city to become closer to nature. Summer and fall are actively abundant with lush open fields for recreational activities and scenic colors of blazing hardwoods.  Miles of trails offer endless hiking and biking experiences for the whole family.  The three and one-half acre pond boasts 220 feet of sand beach, sand volleyball pit, beach house with indoor restrooms, changing rooms, and vending machines.  During the winter months the Minooka Park buzz’s as this frosty paradise echoes with laughter as children ride down the huge sledding hill, while miles of groomed cross-country ski trails offer a peaceful experience for others.

Dog Exercise Area:
Through the generous financial support of the Waukesha Kennel Club, and the Cities of Waukesha and New Berlin, Minooka Park host one of two fenced dog parks in the county.  Featuring a 11.9 acre large breed dog exercise area and an 3.8 acre small breed dog exercise area.  Other features include:

Archery (prepare for hunting season at one of the archery ranges with targets and raised platforms)

Bridal trails (enjoy the bridle trails from May 1st to November 1st)

Facility and Area Reservations:
Five 20’ x 30’ covered picnic areas can be reserved. Picnic areas include: sandpit volleyball, and outdoor restrooms.  The shelter includes a cement base, picnic tables, large grill. Site capacities range from 150 to 800 people.
