Family first

Beyond his work, for which he received a Jurist Lifetime Achievement Award from the state in 2002, his family remembers a man of special wit and an avid fan of the Fighting Irish, Golden Eagles, Brewers, Packers and Badgers.

He and his wife of 52 years, Luly, loved travel and took cruises all over the world. She recalled him taking bagels to his grandchildren every Saturday, and believed just about anything and everything needed to stuff a Christmas stocking could be found at Walgreens.

WAUKESHA The death of a former Waukesha woman who died following a 2003 cosmetic surgery in Florida may have repercussions nationally if a bill to be introduced today becomes law.

Rep. Christine Sinicki, D-Milwaukee, is expected to introduce the “Julie Ayer Rubenzer Law” in Madison today. The bill calls for video cameras installed in any surgical setting to document surgeries in case complications arise.

Sinicki said the bill would allow fines up to $25,000 for facilities that fail to record procedures or offer patients the option of having the surgery recorded. The recordings would fall under federal… Continue reading

TOWN OF WAUKESHA – A Ground-Breaking Ceremony for construction of the new 43,000 sq. ft. NX Level indoor sports facility is being held this Friday, April 24th at 12pm. The ceremony is taking place at the facility’s new location at the southeast corner of the 5 Diamonds, Infinity Fields ballpark at W234 S3555 Les Paul Pkwy. The public is welcomed to attend this celebration event.

Plans for Indoor Training Facility at 5 Diamonds Moving Forward

Changes to Preserve Wetlands made by Ball Park Owners

5 Diamonds ball park owner Thomas Kelenic hit a brick wall on February 12th when the Town of Waukesha Plan Commission postponed any decision regarding construction of a 43,000 square foot indoor training facility at the ball park. Kelenic was seeking approval to begin construction this month of a new indoor training facility that will be operated by NX Level Sports Performance.
