Une Grande Finale: From France to Spain
The brilliant and dashing young Spaniard Jose Franch-Ballester, clarinetist with The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, helps The Philharmonic finish up the season in grand style, celebrating the ancient and beautiful musical links between France, America and Spain. Along with his matchless renditions of Debussy’s Rhapsody and the jazzy Clarinet Concerto of Aaron Copland, we’ll close the season with the so-called Spanish Symphony of the Basque genius Maurice Ravel: his Alaborda del Gracioso, Habanera from his Rhapsodie Espagnole, the tender Pavane for a Dead Infanta, and of course — the Bolero!!!
Join us for a truly grande finale.
