August 2012

In August, Waukesha festivals are in full force and include Waukesha Bluesfest and an American music festival. Other events include the weekly series of Waterfront Wednesdays along the Fox River in Frame Park, and on the sandy shores of Pewaukee Lake. And let’s not forget the Waukesha Old Car Club show held in picturesque Frame Park in downtown Waukesha.

History and Mystery Tour
Join author and former Old World Wisconsin interpreter Kathleen Ernst and curator of research Marty Perkins on an unprecedented adventure. Visit the sites of many of the scenes in Ernst’s Chloe Ellefson mystery series Old World Murder and The Heirloom Murders as they take you on a before-hours, behind-the-scenes tour by foot and by tram. Learn about the inspiration for the series as well as the role of the artifacts and buildings within the museum. At the end of the tour, enjoy a private reception in one of the site’s historic buildings and free admission that day. Books will be available for purchase and signing after the tour.
