This year hosts a special addition to Fiesta Waukesha, featuring Guatemalan artists and Artisans.

La Casa is excited to announce that the organization is participating with the International Artist Exchange Program, which is being done in partnership with Rose Glen Elementary School in Waukesha, Painting It Forward and La Escuela Flavio Rodas Noriega in Chichicastenango, del Quiche (Elementary School in Guatemala). The purpose of this exchange is to bring artists and artisans from Guatemala to Waukesha to participate in Fiesta Waukesha where they will be able to sell their goods, play music and expose Waukesha residents to the Guatemalan culture. During the event, these nine artisans will be weaving, painting and playing the marimba so that members of the community can see these ancient techniques in action.
