The 2012 Waukesha Farmers Market kicked off this weekend with almost double the number of vendors from past seasons. In all, approximately 103 vendors set up their stands Saturday along the Fox River between W. Broadway and N. Barstow Street in downtown Waukesha.
Located along the picturesque Fox River walk, the Waukesha Farmers’ Market serves residents while adding to the vibrancy of downtown Waukesha on Saturday mornings.
So what’s new for the 2012 season?
Unlike past years where vendors were primarily food oriented, this year’s farmers market also features local businesses such as knife sharpening and leather products and restoration services.
New food vendors featured at this season’s market are The Old Tavern Food Products, a Waukesha business located on S. Prairie Avenue, Renards Cheese of Door County, as well as two goat meat vendors.
Come on out to the market every Saturday morning from 8 am till noon through October.
