Waukesha Hotel Temporarily Locked Down by Gunman

Fox6Now reported that police arrested a 32-year-old man from Indiana at the Extended Stay Hotel in Waukesha after he was involved in a domestic violence situation with his wife.

Police were called shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday to the hotel after they received reports of a “man with a gun.” The incident happened inside a room on the first floor. Police say they arrested the man at 10:30 p.m. without incident and nobody was hurt.

Police wouldn’t say what exactly lead up to the situation or how they found out he had a gun. Police are expected to release information early Saturday morning.

The hotel staff told customers to stay in their rooms while the situation was ongoing. According to police the man was in town visiting with family.

The Waukesha Police Department, the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, and Town of Brookfield police all responded to the incident.
