Thumpers Sports Bar Proposed for Waukesha’s Southeast Side

According to documents filed at City Hall, the Waukesha Plan Commission is being asked by Hawkmoon Development  and Keller Inc to approve plans for a 15,000-square-foot sports bar that would be modeled after “Spin Milwaukee” located at 233 Eat Chicago Street in downtown Milwaukee,.

Thumpers Sports Bar is being proposed to be located on the north side of Lincoln Avenue, just west of the Les Paul Parkway behind the Hop It BP Mart. The Plan Commission will review a conditional use permit for the business, as well as preliminary plans.  The documents further describe Thumpers Sports Bar as having:

  • A Pro Shop
  • A dozen Ping Pong tables
  • Lounge
  • 2 private event rooms
  • Restaurant
  • Bar
  • Tournaments and contest


The documents further state, “Thumpers will be catering to both youth activities during the days, hosting a wide variety of school events, youth tournaments and contests, as well as many unique and exciting adult activities for the evening hours”.

Thumpers is estimated to need between 25 and 35 employees, and the proposed hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sundays through Wednesdays and from 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

The Waukesha Plan Commission will be taking up the proposal Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.
