This Sunday, August 14, 2011 is the 30th annual Waukesha Old Car Show at Frame Park.
The show runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with awards being presented at 3:00 p.m.
A popular annual event hosted by the Waukesha Old Car Club, the car show is a great opportunity to view pieces of automotive history through more than 400 cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
The show is free to spectators, and if you have an automobile to enter in the show, registration is $10 and includes a free t-shirt. The automobiles will be judged via ballots filled in by spectators, and all ballots must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. Trophies will be presented to the winners.
Cars can be original or restored, and will be judged in the following categories:
– Antique …through1954 (Cars & Trucks)
– 1955-1962 (Cars Only)
– 1963-1967 (Cars Only)
– 1968-1970 (Cars Only)
– 1965-1969 (non-full size cars)
– 1971-1979 (Cars Only)
– 1980 & Up (Cars Only)
– Street Rods – through 1935
– Street Rods 1936-1948
– Custom Cars
– Up to 1983 2-seat sport cars
– 1984-2010 2 –seat sport cars
– Trucks and Vans (All Years)
– Tuner Cars
– Old School Rat-Rods
There will also be food (brats, hot dogs, and hamburgers) and refreshments (beer and soda) sold during the event. At 12:00 p.m. live music will be performed by El Ray & the Nightbeats.
Bring your family and friends to this great annual event held in majestic Frame Park. When you’re done looking at the cars, take a scenic walk through the beautiful flower gardens, or let the kids blow off some energy in the large playground right next to the car show.
