Santa Run/Walk This Weekend in Downtown Waukesha

2013 Santa Run-WalkThe 5th Annual 5K Santa Run/Walk for Charity will be held this Sunday, December 08, 2013 in downtown Waukesha. With temperatures predicted to reach a high of 23 °F, and a 70% chance of snow likely, button up and come on down to see this frigid run that supports local charities.

Last year the Salvation Army for Waukesha County was presented with a check for more than $5,000 from proceeds that were raised during the 4th annual Santa Run.  Come on down and support this great cause!

New for 2013!

This year there will also be a featured “Elve’s Run” just prior to the Santa Run.The Elves’ Run with be a 1 mile run walk for children up to age 14 and will start at 10:00 AM.

The Santa’s Run participants will line the finishing chute to cheer on these incredible kids as they chase Frosty the Snowman through the streets. “Thumpety, thump. Look at Frosty go!” Kids will receive a goodie bag and custom long-sleeved T-shirt, designed and printed by two of the merchants who make Downtown Waukesha such a magical place.

At 10:30 a.m. the Santa’s Run will begin.

The Santa’s Run is a fun-filled 5k run/walk with prizes for best costumes and best seasonal themes. Each participant will receive a goodie bag with samples and special offers from the Waukesha Downtown Business Association, as well as post-race treats.
