Today marks day one of the 59th and 60th annual AKC licensed all-breed dog shows being held by the Waukesha Kennel Club. More than 2400 dogs, many of them nationally ranked, will compete for the coveted “Best in Show” trophy. Many dogs will also compete in “rally” and “obedience” events.
This year the Waukesha Kennel Club will have a public education tent which focuses on the many roles that dogs have played in history.
The show is being held at the Waukesha Count Expo Center, which is located at 1000 Northview Road, Waukesha, WI.
Admission is $2 per person, or $5 per carload.
You don’t have to enter a dog in the show to attend. Even beginning dog lovers can get involved in the event.
