It’s another weekend of baseball at 5 Diamond’s Fields, but teams will be gathering to honor those who have been lost to or who are battling breast cancer to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
Baseball fans and cancer victims and supporters get ready for an exciting event at 5 Diamond’s Fields in Waukesha this weekend, Saturday, September 29th and Sunday, September 30th.
In honor of October being breast cancer awareness month, the Bigler Sports Fall Ball League has teamed with the American Cancer Society to put on the “Bigler Sports Making Strides against Breast Cancer Event”. Even if you’re not a player or one of the families involved, everyone is invited to watch and participate in this wonderful two day fundraising event to support breast cancer awareness.
5 Diamond’s Wall of Hope
There will be a “Wall of Hope” on the 5 Diamond’s outfield fences. Team coaches were given packets to give to their players, and they wrote names of a friend or loved one who has battled or is currently battling breast cancer, with the goal of receiving a donation. The goal of “Making Strides against Cancer” is that each player collects a minimum of $10 in pledge donations.
The color of breast cancer awareness is pink and the 5 Diamond’s complex will be filled with pink! The fields will be decorated with pink chalk and pink bases, and more than 500 players will be adorned in pink accessories including socks, shoe laces, wristbands and headbands. For those with a sweet tooth, 5 Diamond’s will even be serving pink cotton candy and Gatorade in addition to other food and refreshments.
SPORT YOUR PINK: Shoes, Shoe laces, Wrist bands and Clothing to show your support!
Milwaukee Brewers Racing Sausages
As a special attraction 5 Diamond’s will be featuring the Brewers Racing Sausages during the event.
